I went to see “Shoot ‘Em Up” (2007) directed by Michael Davis without reading anything about it and so I was in for quite a surprise.
The film starts out with the hero “Smith” (Clive Owen) sitting on a bench at night waiting for a bus, munching on a carrot when a pregnant woman in a yellow raincoat stumbles by moaning. She disappears in a nearby alley and is being followed by a very angry man with a gun. This prompts our hero to get involved and angry, too. From that moment on it is all about shooting people.

Come “Closer” and find out about a peculiar cupid’s work and how it impacts the cupid’s life and those close to him. Love can be lost as quickly as it can be found and sometimes love can be found in the most peculiar places under the most bizarre circumstances.
Will it last? Nothing will last no matter how close you get that is just the normal circle of life and change. The closer you get to the truth the more likely it is you lose what you have. Is knowing better than not knowing? Is true love strong enough to overcome the obstacles of obsessive truth seeking or is it not true love if it does not prevail?
