Charlie Pace is a dead man

Remember when I wrote back in October 2006 when Lost Season 3 started how Dominic Monaghan’s character is a major pain in the ass and needs to go? “Lost” is back after its mid season hiatus and lo and behold in episode 8 we find out that someone has to die. Oh what joy, it is Charlie Pace. Bickering about screen time again, Dominic? Get lost!

The series ratings are as low as ever which comes to no surprise to us and quite frankly, viewers no longer care about the “mystery”, the “numbers” or who will die next. It’s over. It is a lost cause. Writers, wrap up the story as long as you can, the cancellation axe is dropping fast and I am far from being the only one who thinks Lost needs an exit strategy.

Snakes on a Plane (2006)

Snakes on a Plane (2006)

Snakes on a Plane” (2006), dudes … holy smokes, what a crappy movie! Does Samuel L. Jackson have financial troubles or what? Seriously, crappy effects, totally crappy story, absolutely horrendous, ludicrous setting I mean … what on earth were they smoking?

This isn’t even a funny B-Movie type horror slasher, it’s just plain awful with no underlying wit or humor nor suspense nor horror unless you can’t stand snakes.

Honestly, why watch this movie other than to rant about how bad it was? The only remotley interesting thing I can say about this movie is tied to an imdb comment that reads “Goats on a Boat”.

Do yourself a favor and save your money on this one.

Threshold

ThresholdThreshold” was recommended to me by a friend. I never heard of the series before and I cannot share his views and must say that I completely understand why this series never saw a Season 2. We can blame the female government contingency analyst and her puppy for its failure!

The scenario is simple. Earth is being invaded by aliens through DNA mutation, i.e. exposed to a shape shifting alien probe that emits a certain frequency of sounds human DNA is altered and turned into an alien able to infect others. Granted, at first the pilot gets you interested in this whole alien invasion theme but the little novelty that is left soon wears off and then there’s really nothing left that would warrant viewing this show.

Not only is the lead role miscast the scripting on top of it is riddled with so many errors, loopholes, inconsistencies and ahorrent dialogue that the whole scenario for which she claims to have ultimate authority lends zero credibility and thus must disappoint on all accounts.

Season 1 was cancelled and taken off air and good riddance! Alternatively we could blame Brannon Braga for this one, too.
